Robion

Population : 3.904 .

Department of the Vaucluse

5 km East of Cavaillon via the D2

Situated at the foot of the Luberon, the small, peaceful village of Robion is surrounded by lovely countryside. Robion is part of the Luberon Natural Regional Park (Parc Naturel Régional du Luberon) and superb hiking trails enable you to discover the richness of the vegetation in the Luberon region.

In the village, you can happilly stroll around the narrow streets and alleyways, you'll see the original fountain impressively framed by six immense plane trees. You will come across the beautiful Roman church, some pretty historic houses and in the elevated part of the village, you can see the remains of the ramparts which formerly surrounded the town.

You can also enjoy the open-air theatre and music festival in July and August, held at sunset when the temperatures are cooler (as they say here à la fraîche). Not only is Robion lucky to have a beautiful, antique open-air theatre but it has an excellent acoustic reputation... music lovers take note!
