Caseneuve
is an attractive little village in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional
du Luberon, between the "monts du Vaucluse" and the Luberon
mountain.
The
village sits peacefully on a small hill surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Barely a kilometre from the bustling town of Apt (and all its conveniences)
you can enjoy the tranquillity of Caseneuve which has lost none of its
authentic charm.
Caseneuve
has an impressive château. Although it is not open to the public,
from the outside you can still admire the sombre architecture, the ramparts,
the towers and high stone walls bleached white with age.
Some pleasant walking tracks take you around the village. You can also
visit the sulphur springs in the Vallon du Bassis or discover the biggest
oratory or shrine in Provence, set in attractive rural surroundings.
Visitors to Caseneuve are soon charmed by its
beauty and the quality of life typical to Provence. |
