Sollies-Toucas, situated on the green banks of the Gapeau river, has a long historical past.

Its old winding streets all end up on the village squares shaded by century old plane trees.

As you walk about you cannot miss the square clock tower where there is an obscure inscription to be deciphered. It refers to the temple dedicated to the sun by the Romans.

This village is one of the three Sollies ( sun in Provençal), the others being Sollies-Ville (4km.), and Sollies-Pont (2km.).
