15km. north of Brignoles on route D22 (direction Cotignac) for 12km., then go left on D45.
Right at the entrance of the canyons Gorges de Bagorèse, Correns is a pretty village built part on the right bank of the river Argens and part on the left bank. This is a good place to stop in the Centre Var, lost in the country, and far from the main roads. .
Correns is surrounded by aromatic hills and is sheltered by a chain of mount called the Massif du Bessillon. The river Argens rushes out of the Gorges du Vallon Sourn straight into the village. In the center one can find many signs of the long and interesting past of Correns. Also there are troglodyte dwellings and neolithic caves to be discovered.
Correns is proud to be a Bio village (organic village) and have the only wine cellar in Provence dedicated to white wines. They are very good.
