Belgentier is a charming little village that sits astride the river Gapeau. It is surrounded by a chain of hills planted with olive trees, pines and oaks that encase the village in greenery.

It's a perfect place for walks of all types. The streets are narrow and linked by vaulted passages.

The old houses with their doorways sculpted in stone reveal the cachet of this town.

The hills protect and shelter the village from the cold winds ot winter all the while preserving the cool of the summer.

It is certainly because of these hills that the cherries and the tigs of Belgentier are reputed far and wide and with the olives represent the main livelihood of the village.
