Provence Wines

Coteaux des Baux

This recent appellation (1995) covers a small area of 325 hectares in the middle of the Alpilles.
Although the quantity is limited, a wide variety of quality wine is produced, with reds making up 67 % of the harvest.
Strongly flavoured and well-structured, they deserve to be aged for 5 or 6 years.
The rosés represent 30 % of the production volume and they also taste better if left to age awhile.
