From Briançon, via the RN91 (35 km)
Villar d'Arène is reached by taking the beautiful road climbing up to Col du Lautaret, between dizzying rocky crags and high peaks in excess of 3000 metres, including the mythical Meije at more than 3900 metres and its eternal snows.

Villar d'Arène is located in the Ecrins National Park after Col du Lautaret. It's a peaceful little mountain village, proud of its church built from yellow stone which faces onto a pretty square with a fountain.

Half-way between two mini ski resorts at La Grave-La Meije (1525m) and Col du Lautaret (2000m), which have a number of ski lifts and more than 10 kilometres of ski runs between them, Villar d'Arène is an ideal location for family skiing in a landscape of majestic mountains !
