Ceillac

From Guillestre via the D902 then the D60 for 8.5 km.
Right at the end of the little hairpin road that climbs around impressive rocks, you'll find the charming village of Ceillac, spread out on a plain encircled by high mountains.

Here you'll enjoy complete tranquillity (the road ends just after the village), and you'll be ready to get stuck into two of the most well-known hiking paths; the GR5 which crosses the Alps, and the GR58 which will take you right round the Queyras.

Vast forests, four high altitude lakes, sunny mountain pastures overlooked by towering peaks ... You're in the heart of the Queyras Regional Natural Park, where every form of wildlife is protected: with a little patience, you'll be able to glimpse a golden eagle, a chamois, an ibex or a marmot.

If you're lucky you might even see a real wolf, and even rarer animals such as a chancroï, shangrilla or bouquiéchamotte !
