Sainte Estève Janson is a small rural village peacefully situated on the left bank of the Durance river, between Salon de Provence and Aix en Provence, on the border between the Bouches du Rhône and the Vaucluse.

  The village does not have any particularly significant sites to see, although you can still visit the crumbling walls of the ancient Janson chateau. You can also discover the remains of the chateau's monumental chimmney in the natural reserve of the "Haras de Saint-Estève".

The village has a cave classified as an "Historic Monument", known as the "grotte de l'Escale". Discovered in 1960, it is of great geological interest as traces of early human occupation have been found. The cave is today under scientific exploration and unfortunately not open to the public.

Instead, visitors can take advantage of the pleasant walking trails around the village.
