Valdeblore Rimplas

Pop.: 108 h Surface Area : 2.500 ha Alt.: 1.000 m

Alpes Maritimes Departement

From the A8 motorway, take the St Isidore
exit and then the RN 202 and the D 2205
up the Tinée valley or the D2565 up the Vésubie valley.

Rimplas is a charming small hilltop village set on a mountain spike looking over the Tinée valley and the Bramafon valley.

From the village there is a 360° panorama to the sea, the mountains and the Mercantour National Park, a view which will take your breath away.

Pleasurable walks are to be had down the pretty paved streets, borders with flowers and Mediterranean plants.

You'll pass under vaulted passage ways dating back to the Middle Ages and can take advantage of the numerous fountains for a cool drink of water.

Apparently the quality of the Rimplas water rivals that of the most famous bottled mineral waters.

The Rimplas church(1713), has an very beautiful façade and its stone built bell tower is the oldest in the département.
