Les Ferres is an extremely small village, located at the top of a mountain pass in the Esteron valley, and surrounded by forest hills. The village houses are grouped together and are a fine example of ancient rural architecture. Take the narrow covered streets and you'll arrive in the church square where the village "elders" meet to pass the time, discussing the issues of the day. Wonderful panoramic views can be had from the village, It is a fisher men and women's paradise and pot holing enthusiasts will find some interesting sites to explore around the commune.
