Train station in Cannes.

Le Cannet is 27 km. from St. Paul, 66 km. from Menton, and 80 km. from St. Tropez. Sheltered from the north wind by its background of mountains, the weather here is dry and warm which earns Le Cannet the nickname of « Madeira of France».

Already classified nationally as a city of tourism and flowers, it has recently won a regional prize for enhancing the town's natural beauty. Mimosa pines, eucalyptus, orange trees, and olives trees all grow on the softly sloping hills around.

Le Cannet overlooks the bay of Cannes and enjoys a wonderful view of the islands of Lérins and the Esterel cliff road. In the heart of old Le Cannet you will appreciate the ocher façades, pedestrian ways and its typical architecture.
