Alpes Maritimes Department

30km North West of Nice, on the N202 to Carros,

A true look out post at the confluence of the Rivers Var and Esteron, from its height of 850m, Bouyon offers wonderful panoramic views over the Alps.

Wander down the vaulted streets of the village and you'll discover plenty of pleasant little squares, in particular the church square reached by taking the covered walkway from the Michelis Lefranc square which is guarded by the portcullis of the former chateau.
