Beuil is a large mountain village clustered round its bell tower, known especially as a holiday spot, and also as a resort for winter and summer sports.

Nevertheless its old medieval village contains many treasures: a fine stone church (17th century) with a Romanesque bell tower, the Chapel of St Jean-Baptiste with a trompe-l’oeil façade (the false marble and columns are the work of Guy Ceppa), arcades, vaulted passageways and doors dating back to the Middle Ages.

A stroll through the cobbled streets and alleyways of Beuil will enable you to discover a lively, industrious village, where the bells ring out the angelus morning, noon and night, and which smells of wood fires: what could be more authentic !
