While walking in the narrow village streets, you can admire the beautiful ancient houses with superb medieval doors (on the main road), you will rapidly fall under the charm of the typically Provencal atmosphere that reigns at Volonne.

Next to the town-hall you will discover the 17th century "château-bastide" with its superb stairway decorated with plaster mouldings.

On the road to Vière you will come across the "Chemin de rondes", old ramparts with an aqueduct dating back to the 16th and 17th century.
A magnificent view of the village can be seen by taking the path leading to the "tour de gué" and the clock-tower.

North of the village you can visit the remains of the Saint-Martin church with its primitive art from the 9th century, as well as the rural chapel of Saint-Jean de Travaron, two excellent pretexts for a
delightful walk in the countryside.
