While strolling about Manosque you will discover a city of a long and interesting past where each epoch has left its imprint and its style. lt is one of those cities of Provence that has known how to preserve its charm by restoring the old quarters and pedestrian streets. The old city, in the shape of a pear, has pretty little squares lined with lovely houses.

In order to really appreciate Manosque you should climb the hill of Mont d'Or (3km up and down) where you will see the surrounding nature, and the panorama of Luberon, Sainte-Baume, Haut Var with the Mont Aiguines and even the first Alpine peaks.

The ramparts, the Sauverie Door (14thc.)
and the Soubeyan Door (13thc.),
Church St. Sauveur, and Notre Dame de Romigier,
the convents of the Observantins, and the Presentation.
