nativity scene circuit at Luceram
400 nativity scenes will be on display in the streets and cellars of the medieval town, as well as in the churches, chapels,
museums and picturesque sites in surrounding areas. A sign-posted
circuit enables visitors (almost 30,000 last year) to discover
traditional, original and totally unexpected nativity scenes.

Provençal Crib at Allauch
this is the 31th birthday of the crib Gilbert Orsini. 450
animated santons in an area of 120 m² combine modernity
and tradition to display the history and costumes of Provence,
in a cascade of light ...
Untill January 25th
 8 pigs are spit roasted all night long for
the Fête de la Saint-Clair in Allauch and then eaten at Midday on the Place de la Mairie. There
is a gastronomic food market in the town centre. Decorated carts and
parades to the sound of provençal tambourines and drums round
off this decidedly gastronomic festival...
Sunday 11th January

Tripette Fête at Barjols
Come and follow the procession of the bust of St Marcel
and take part in the unusual Tripe dance when all the crowd jump along
the road. Farandoles, folklore, village dance, mass...
this is a true provençal festival to the sound of fifes
and tambourines and this year
is the "Grande Marcel" the cow sacrifice will takes place this year.

 Oursinades at Sausset
les Pins
On the last three Sundays in January (11th, 18 th
& 25th).
Big Sea urchin festival with seafood and other shellfish
on the port. All the cafe and restaurant terraces have entertainment
with a wonderful ambiance, music, craft fair and provençal. Don't panic if you miss the event...

Carry le Rouet will organise "Oursinades" on the first three Sundays in February (Feb 1st, 8th
& 15th)

Expo Van Gogh/Monticelli at Marseille
