Cooking and Art de Vivre in Provence

Come to France and live the French way! Learn firsthand the secrets of Provencal cuisine that can be part of successful and fun-filled parties. Tessa will welcome a few participants to her charming country house near Aix-en- Provence. She'll be delighted to teach you how to cook the Provençal culinary delights you love and if you wish you'll be able to practise your French with her. (Don't despair if your French is limited as she can speak fluent English). You'll be initiated to the pleasure of wine tasting and menu selection. Tess will share with you the French way of decorating and setting the table. She also peppers her course with culinary and medical uses of local herbs... She offers typed class-notes with the recipes of the dishes you have prepared. You'll also be able to buy your fresh bread, vegetables and fish from busy lively open-air markets. It will also be a vacation for you, you'll enjoy a trip to a vineyard, the shade of pine trees, the coolness of the swimming pool...

	A typical day
	After breakfast, marketing at the Marseilles picturesque fish market Lunch as well as ample breakfast provisions available at all times. Cooking lesson: demonstration and participation in the morning or in the evening, it depends on the day's activities. 8 pm: "apéritif"; Dinner in the open, including regional wines. The principal meal will be the result of the cooking class activities. You 'll be able to take part in creating some menus...

Private motor car transportation between Marseilles Airport and Aix- en- Provence. Five nights' accommodation, five days' instruction, food included, sightseeing in Aix, Marseilles, a trip to a vineyard. Small classes so that you can immerse yourself in the preparation and catch the spirit of this class. Individual attention is given and you 'll meet Tessa's French friends. Students from anywhere are welcome ! Convivial and homely atmosphere, warm welcome! Classes on a daily basis without accomodation are also available.
